Share a dashboard
Give clients, partners and investors a live, read-only view of your analytics. No account needed.
A shared link opens a page of your workspace for people outside your organization. They don't need a viral.app account, the numbers stay live, and they can't change anything in your workspace. Today you can share the Analytics Overview; more pages will follow.
Shared links come with the Ultra plan and up, trials included. Owners and admins create and manage them.
Share a page
- Open the Analytics Overview and set the filters you want to share: accounts, tags, platforms, content type and the date range.
- Click Share in the page header. If the page already has links, they're listed under Links to this page; click Create New Link for a new one.
- Check the name (viewers see it as the page title), who can open the link, and what viewers can do.
- Click Copy Link, or Send Email to email it from viral.app.
The link exists once you copy it, send it, or open its settings. From then on, every change in the dialog saves right away. The link keeps the filter values you had set; to share different accounts or tags, set them on the overview and create another link.
Choose who can open it
- Anyone with the link: whoever has the link can view it.
- Password: viewers type a password you set. Our emails never include it, so send it another way.
- Only invited people: only the email addresses you add can open it, and each person confirms their email with a 6-digit code. Removing someone takes their access away right away.
Switching a link to a stricter option, or changing its password, signs out everyone who already opened it.
Choose what viewers can do
Under What viewers can do, every filter has two ticks. View shows the filter to viewers as a fixed chip. Filter lets them narrow it, but never beyond what you shared. A filter you don't let them view still applies; viewers just don't see it.
A new link starts with dates, platforms and content types they can filter (platforms and content types stay fixed if you had set them), and accounts and tags they can only view. Details lets viewers open read-only stats for a video or an account, and KPIs and widgets shows everything, including KPIs we add later.
Click a row's name to open that part of Link settings, or All Settings for all of it.
Fine-tune in Link settings
Link settings hold everything a link can do. Open them from the Share dialog or from Organization Settings › Shared links.
- What viewers see: turn off Show everything to pick the exact KPI cards, metrics and widgets. Anything we add later then stays off until you add it.
- Filters: set each filter to Hidden, Viewable or Filterable, the same choices as the grid in the dialog.
- Date range: keep it rolling (for example, always the last 14 days), start it on a date, or fix it. You can also stop viewers from going back before a given day.
- Expiry: let the link stop working on a date.
App revenue and installs follow project tags only. When a link narrows by anything else, they start hidden because they would count all your apps; if you show them anyway, viewers see a note that these numbers cover all apps. A hidden account filter also still lets Top accounts show account names, so switch that widget off if the names should stay private.
What viewers see
Viewers see the page as you set it up, with a View only badge. They can change the filters you allowed, switch the chart between the metrics you left visible and change its settings (cumulative, week or month, style and colors; it opens as your chart looked when you made the link), and open read-only details for videos and accounts. Their changes only affect their own view. Shared links count your internal accounts only, so competitors never appear, and viewers can't export data or reach any other part of your workspace.
Manage your links
Organization Settings › Shared links lists every link in your organization with its access, views and status. Open a link to copy or send it, see when it was last viewed, change its settings, or use the menu to:
- Pause it until you resume it. Viewers see that it's unavailable.
- Regenerate it to give it a new address. The old one stops working.
- Delete it with its view counts.
Links keep working when the teammate who created them leaves. If your plan no longer includes shared links, they stop opening until you upgrade again, and you can still manage them.
To show a page to people in your organization instead, use the Internal tab of the Share dialog: it copies the page's address with your filters and lets admins invite teammates.
