Account, notifications, and sign-in
Manage sign-in, emails and notifications, use more than one account, switch from a brand account, and delete your account.
Open your name at the top of the sidebar for User Settings, Notifications, and Security. Your creator details, like address and portfolio, live on your profile instead.
Sign-in and security
There are no passwords on viral.app. You sign in with a link or 6-digit code sent to your email, with Google, or with a passkey. Under Security you can:
- Change your email address. The change applies right away, so make sure you can open the new inbox first.
- Link Google, to sign in with one click.
- Add a passkey, to sign in with your fingerprint, face, or device PIN.
Notifications and emails
Notifications in the sidebar controls what reaches you.
Emails about sign-in, invitations, job offers, briefs, and payouts always go out, because you need them to do the work. If you don't choose a jobs digest frequency, you get it daily while you're active and weekly otherwise, and it stops after eight weekly emails without a sign-in.
To turn on browser notifications, click Turn on in Chat when it says message notifications are off.
Use more than one account
One email address is either a creator account or a brand account, never both. To use both, sign up the second one with a different email address. Then use Add Account in the menu under your name, and Switch Account to move between them without signing out.
Switch from a brand account
Set up a brand workspace but you're a creator? While you're still in the brand setup, click I'm a creator at the top of the page. Afterwards, go to User Settings, then General, and click I'm a creator on the Account Type card. Your login stays the same.
Read the dialog before you confirm:
- You leave every brand workspace you're a member of.
- Workspaces you own are deleted for good, with their tracked accounts and data, and their other members lose access. If you're the only one in it, there's less to confirm.
- It can't be undone.
The switch is blocked when a workspace you own has billing history (any subscription or trial), creator payouts or creators, or a checkout in progress. The dialog then offers Transfer ownership or Contact support.
Delete your account
Delete Account is at the bottom of User Settings, under General. Type your email address to confirm. Your profile, social accounts, portfolio, applications, and brand chats are deleted for good, open applications are withdrawn, and you're signed out everywhere.
You can't delete it yourself while:
- a brand still has you as a creator. Ask each brand to remove you first.
- you have payout history. Payout records have to be kept, so contact support and we'll close the account for you.
