Chat with brands
Message the brands you work with, send files, and get notified when they reply.
Chat is where you talk to the brands you work with: questions about the brief, drafts, deadlines, and pay. Automatic notes keep a record of what happened, like a payout being sent or a new brief.
Who you can message
- Brands you work with. Open the brand's dashboard and click Message Brand, or use the conversation in Chat.
- Brands you applied to, once they write to you first.
- Brands whose job offer you answered. Answering opens the chat.
You can't start a conversation with a brand you haven't worked with or applied to, and you can't create group chats. Use the filters to find a conversation: Active Brands, Applications, and Past Brands.
Messages and files
React with an emoji, reply to a message, or copy it. You can edit your own messages for 15 minutes and delete them any time.
Sending a draft? Upload the video file instead of a link, so the brand can watch it right in the chat.
Group chats
Brands can add you to a group with other creators, for example everyone on one campaign. In groups you get a notification when someone mentions you, uses @channel, or replies to you, not for every message.
Automatic notes
viral.app adds notes when something changes: an application status, a campaign assignment starting or ending, a new or updated brief, and a payout sent or ready to claim.
Notifications
When Chat shows Message notifications are off, click Turn on to get browser notifications for new messages on this device. Unread messages also reach you by email: a digest at most once an hour, less often if you don't open the earlier ones. Brands see your messages under your name; you see theirs under the brand's name or a persona the brand picked.
Common questions
The brand isn't answering
Send one clear message with what you need and by when. If it's about a payout that's overdue, see My payout has been Due for a while.
Can I turn off chat emails?
No. They're how brands reach you, so they stay on for every creator. Browser notifications are different: remove a device under Notifications, in Push Devices.
