Post videos that count
Post from the right account, keep pace with the target, and make sure every video is tracked and paid.
viral.app only counts videos it can see: public videos on an account the brand tracks for you, posted while your campaign runs. Get those three right and the rest is making good videos at a steady pace.
Post from a tracked account
The brand chooses which of your accounts it tracks. You see them on the brand's Accounts page. Your featured accounts on your profile don't count unless the brand tracks them too.
Many jobs, Canvas UGC in particular, want a new account just for the brand. Create it, then send the handle to the brand in chat so it can add it. Until it does, the dashboard shows Waiting on Tracking and nothing you post there is counted. New to running an account like this? Warm up a new TikTok account first.
Keep pace
Your target is spread evenly across each period. Posting a little every day beats a burst before the deadline: you stay On Schedule, and per-video pay counts the videos you publish within the period. What Running Tight and Overdue mean is on Your brand dashboard.
Keep videos up and public
Leave every video public for as long as its views count, which is its view window in the pay rules. viral.app only counts views it can see: once a video is deleted or private, its views stop updating, and the brand may not pay for it.
Check that a video was counted
Open the brand's Videos page a day after posting. Your video should be listed with its views. If it isn't:
- Is it on a tracked account? Check Accounts.
- Was it published inside your campaign, after your start date?
- Is it public?
Still missing? Send the link to the brand in chat. Brands can add a single video by hand.
Label paid content
Follow the platform's rules for sponsored content and the brief's instructions, for example TikTok's content disclosure setting or #ad. This matters most on your own accounts, such as in Influencer jobs.
Common questions
My views on TikTok are higher than in viral.app
Counts refresh on a schedule and can run up to a day behind. Views after a video's window closes don't count toward pay, even though the platform keeps counting them.
Can I post the same video on two platforms?
Ask the brand. Rules can pay per platform, and some briefs ask for platform-specific edits.
