| Rule | You earn | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed pay | A set amount every period | Paid no matter how many videos you post |
| Per video | A set amount for each video you publish | Often limited to the video target per period, and can require a minimum number of views by the end of the period |
| Per 1,000 views | A rate for every 1,000 views | Can have tiers, where the rate changes as views grow |
| Bonuses | A fixed amount once views reach a milestone | Counted on each video's own views, or on views combined per account, per platform, or across all your videos in the period. A per-video bonus is paid once that video's counting window closes. |
How campaign pay works: fixed pay, per video, CPM, and bonuses
Read your campaign's pay rules, see what's guaranteed, and know which videos and views count toward each payout.
Each campaign pays by rules the brand sets: a fixed amount, a rate per video, a rate per 1,000 views, bonuses at view milestones, or a mix. Click Details on your campaign row, on Home or the brand dashboard, to see yours in plain words.
The basics
- Cycle: how long each payout period runs, such as daily, weekly, every two weeks (
Biweekly), or monthly. Each period becomes one payout. - Video Target: how many videos the brand expects per period.
- Timezone: always UTC. A period ends at midnight UTC, which may be a different day where you live.
- Currency: what you're paid in.
At the top of the rules, Guaranteed is what you earn per period if you hit the video target: your fixed pay plus per-video pay for the target. On top is what views and bonuses can add, with the brand's cap if it set one. The cap never touches fixed or per-video pay.
Ways you earn
Rules can differ by platform, so a TikTok video and an Instagram Reel may pay differently.
Conditions on a rule
A rule can apply to only some of your videos. Its line then reads Only your videos matching, followed by the conditions: a content type, hashtags you must use, tags the brand sets (such as a country), or a minimum number of views per video. Hover the info icon for the full sentence.
A total views condition looks at your whole period instead: your total views on the rule's platforms have to reach a number, or stay below it. If the period misses it, that rule pays nothing for the period, and those views aren't paid later. Fixed pay never has this condition.
A worked example
Take the campaign above. Say you post 16 videos in a two-week period and one of them passes 100,000 views. Per-video pay stops at the target of 14, so you earn 14 × $10 = $140, plus the $100 bonus: $240 for the period. Two extra videos earn nothing here, but they're two more chances at a bonus.

Which views count
Two conditions at the bottom of the rules decide this:
- The view window. Views count toward view and bonus pay for a set number of days after you publish, 31 days unless the brand chose otherwise. Views after that don't add pay.
- The publish date. Either only videos you publish within the period count, or older videos keep counting while they're still inside their window. The rules say which.
Videos only count from accounts the brand tracks for you, and a deleted or private video stops updating. More in Post videos that count.
Joining or leaving mid-period
If your assignment starts or ends partway through a period, that period is shorter and marked Joined mid-period or Ended early. Fixed pay is reduced to match the days you were in; per-video, view, and bonus pay are counted as usual.
When the terms change
Brands can update a campaign. If the terms changed after you joined, the footer of Campaign Details says Terms changed on with the date, and History shows the terms when you joined and every version since. Ask the brand in Chat if a change isn't clear.
Common questions
Is "Guaranteed" guaranteed if I post less?
No. It assumes you hit the video target. Fixed pay is paid either way; per-video pay counts the videos you actually publish.
Why does Upcoming Payout change during the period?
It's calculated live from your videos and views so far, and data can run up to a day behind. The final amount is set when the period ends and the brand issues the payout.
My rules say "Paid by custom terms"
The brand pays you on terms agreed outside the app. Ask the brand for the details.
