Creator chat
Message job applicants and active creators from one inbox, from the first reply to ongoing collaboration.
Chat is the direct line between your team and the creators you work with. Open Chat to message creators who applied to your marketplace jobs and creators already active in your workspace. The same conversation carries you through before and after hiring.
Know who you can message
Every conversation is tied to a creator relationship. You can chat with applicants on your job postings and with creators in your workspace. There is no cold outreach in either direction: a conversation exists because the creator applied to you or already works with you.
Filter conversations
The conversation list has filter tabs for All, Unread, Applicants, Active Creators, and Past Creators. Relationship tabs show a dot when they contain unread messages, so you see where a reply is waiting without opening each conversation.
Use Applicants while you are hiring, and Active Creators for day-to-day campaign coordination. Archived conversations stay available from the list when you need older context.
Reply to applications
The first message usually starts from the Applications table: reply to an application from its row and the conversation opens in Chat. Use it to ask follow-up questions, request an extra sample, and negotiate rates before you accept.
Rates agreed in chat stay attached to the creator's conversation history, so the terms are easy to find when you set up the campaign.
Keep collaborating after hiring
When you accept an applicant, the conversation moves with the relationship, and the same thread continues under Active Creators. Use it for briefs, revisions, posting schedules, and payout questions instead of scattering the relationship across email and DMs.
A typical flow: reply to the application, negotiate the rate, accept and onboard the creator into a campaign, then keep coordinating content in the same conversation.
Notifications and read states
Unread conversations are marked in the list, and the sidebar shows an unread count so new messages surface while you work elsewhere in viral.app.
When messages stay unread, viral.app sends an email digest with the waiting conversations, so a negotiation does not stall because nobody had the app open. Creators get the same treatment on their side, which keeps reply times short in both directions.
