The pay

How Canvas UGC pays

Canvas UGC means posting organic videos on a dedicated account for one brand and getting paid by how they perform. Most programs pay a base fee per video or per month plus view bonuses, and new creators often start on bonuses only.

Typical base pay per video
$20–$45
In hybrid programs, the most common setup, plus view bonuses.
Typical monthly base
$500–$1,500
For 30–60 posts a month in hybrid programs, plus view bonuses.
Typical pay per 1,000 views
$2–$4
In pure performance (CPM) programs. Higher in some niches.
Chapter 1 covers each pay model, when you get paid, and the red flags to check
Who it's for

Made for creators who want paid UGC work

  • Beginners

You want to start UGC with no followers and no paid work yet.

  • Working UGC creators

You make deliverables-only videos and want to move into Canvas UGC or Tech UGC, where pay is tied to views.

  • Creators for apps and software

You're on camera for tech products, where clarity matters more than aesthetics.

You don't need

Followers

In Canvas UGC you post on a dedicated account you run for the brand, so your own follower count doesn't matter.

A camera

You film on your phone, handheld, in a real place.

The viral.app team. viral.app is the platform brands use to hire, track, and pay UGC creators on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, and Snapchat Spotlight.

The lessons come from the Canvas UGC programs brands run there: what goes into briefs, how creators get paid, and what separates creators who get rehired from those who don't.

You don't need viral.app to take the course. It mentions the platform where it saves time and says when you can do the same thing by hand.
