Trybe or viral.app? Creator videos as Meta ads, or as organic posts.
Trybe turns creator submissions into Meta ads and pays creators a share of what those ads sell, for a fee of at most 1.5%. viral.app runs organic creator programs: every post tracked, creators paid on the views they earn, compliant payouts, and ads from the posts that already work.

The short version: both hire creators, pay them and run their videos as ads, but they pay for different things. Pick Trybe when creator videos are raw material for Meta ads and you pay a share of the sales they drive: free to start, at most 1.5%. Pick viral.app when creators post organically and you pay on the views they earn, with every account tracked and payouts through a merchant of record.

Trybe publishes no pricing page, docs or help center, so where it doesn't say something, we write "Not public". Where its own pages disagree, we show both.

Two ways to pay a creator
Both tools hire creators, pay them and run their videos as ads. The difference is the thing you pay for. On Trybe, a creator's video is an ad: you approve it, launch it on Meta and pay the creator on the sales it drives. On viral.app, a creator's video is a post: it goes out on a creator or brand account, and the creator is paid on the organic views it earns. Everything else on this page follows from that.
In Trybe
Trybe turns approved creator submissions into whitelisted Meta ads, before anyone posts them. Source: jointrybe.com homepage, Sep 2026
In viral.app
viral.app starts from a live post: the ones that already work run as a Spark Ad or partnership ad.
So the question that decides it: do you want to pay creators for what your ads sell, or for the views their posts earn? Some programs need both. Today Trybe pays on the first and viral.app on the second.
Who Trybe is great for
Trybe is a good tool, and for some brands it's the right one. It fits best when:
Creator videos are your Meta ads
Approve submissions, then launch them as whitelisted or partnership ads: 100+ ads in fewer than 10 clicks, by Trybe's count.
You sell on Shopify and pay on sales
Product sync, sample requests, server-side last-click attribution and commissions on attributed orders.
You want to pay nothing upfront
No plan, seats or minimums. Your payment method is charged when you accept a video, plus at most 1.5%.
It also tags every submission by angle and persona, ranks creators and products on a leaderboard, and keeps briefs and chats with creators in one place. If that is your program, Trybe is a sound choice, and it costs less than viral.app. The rest of this page is about what changes when your creators post organically.
What Trybe's fee is charged on
Trybe's pricing is one line in its FAQ: free to start, and never more than 1.5%. What changes is what the percentage applies to, and that depends on how you pay creators. Here is each case, with viral.app next to it.
Trybe says the rates are never stacked, so one applies per program. On flat pay, its fee is half of ours and there is no plan to pay for. On commission, the fee follows your sales or your ad budget rather than what creators earn, so it grows with every dollar you put behind the winners. That is how pay-on-outcome usually works, and it is worth modeling before you sign. Trybe's brand terms also list "applicable payment processing fees and Taxes" among the fees, without amounts (terms 4.1), so ask whether anything comes on top of the 1.5%.
Which one should you pick?
Choose Trybe if…
Creator videos are raw material for your Meta ads, and you want to approve each one first.
You sell on Shopify and want to pay creators a share of the sales their ads drive.
You want to pay nothing upfront: no plan, no seats, at most 1.5%.
Our product
Choose viral.app if…
Creators post on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook or Snapchat, and you pay on the organic views they earn.
You want every creator, agency and competitor tracked in one place, and ads from the posts that already work.
You pay creators outside the US and want every payout invoiced through a merchant of record.
Neither fits?

Organic creator programs, where creators post every day on their own or a brand's accounts and earn on views, are what viral.app is built for. Trybe's pages don't describe this side: tracking organic posts, paying on views, or ads outside Meta.

Leaving without losing your ads
On Trybe, the right to run a creator's video depends on how you paid for it. That protects creators on commission, whose pay depends on the ad staying live, and it matters the day you want to leave.
Trybe's clause for creators met on the platform is the shorter of the two. Its hold on the ads themselves is the part to plan around: before you leave, list which live ads run on commission videos.
Every difference, row by row

On flat pay, Trybe costs less at every size: there is no plan, and its fee is half of ours. With 20 creators and $10,000 of flat pay a month, that is $150 on Trybe against $599 on viral.app Ultra. What the viral.app plan pays for is the organic side Trybe's pages don't describe: every post tracked on five platforms, pay on views with tiers, caps and tests, payouts through a merchant of record, and an API from Ultra up. If you only need ad creative on Meta, don't pay for that.

Running both, or moving over
You don't have to choose one model. You can keep Trybe for ad creative on Meta and run your organic creators in viral.app, where any public account is tracked from a URL, including the accounts of creators you found on Trybe. Keep paying creators you met on Trybe through Trybe until 12 months after their campaign, and keep its videos on ad accounts connected to Trybe, as its terms require.
If you are moving your program off Trybe: creators you worked with before Trybe can move today, because its clause exempts earlier relationships (terms 3.4). Videos you paid a flat fee for stay licensed to you. Videos on commission lose their license when you leave (10.2), so decide what happens to those ads first.

Questions about Trybe
Trybe is a US platform where brands run creator videos as Meta ads and pay creators on performance. Creators join a brand's program in Trybe's app and upload videos. The brand approves, revises or rejects them and launches approved ones as whitelisted or partnership ads. Creators earn a share of attributed sales or ad performance, or flat fees, retainers and bonuses, paid through Stripe.
Trybe is free to start and charges at most 1.5%, depending on how you pay creators: 1.5% of attributed sales for sales commissions, 1.25% of ad spend for ad-performance commissions, or 1.5% of creator earnings for flat fees, retainers and bonuses. The rates are never stacked, and there are no seats, contracts or minimums. Its terms also mention payment processing fees and taxes, without amounts (checked September 25, 2026).
On flat creator pay, yes. Trybe has no plan and takes 1.5% of creator earnings; viral.app has plans from $99 a month and takes 3% of payouts. With 20 creators and $10,000 of flat pay a month, that is $150 against $599. On commission programs, Trybe's fee follows your sales or ad spend instead, and viral.app doesn't pay on sales at all.
Yes. Trybe is run by Trybe Tech, Inc. in Austin, Texas, and its homepage names brands such as Cal AI, Cuts Clothing and Sand Cloud. Its creator app is rated 4.9 from about 3,700 ratings on the US App Store, and the Android app has 10,000+ downloads. Critical reviews mention bugs and brands that sit on approved videos or reply slowly; Trybe's replies say it is working on them.
Yes. Trybe says it is free for creators, forever, and pays them straight to their bank through Stripe Connect, with $0 withdrawal fees, in 170+ countries. Creators give Trybe a W-9 or W-8BEN and handle their own taxes. Creators in any country can also join viral.app's Canvas UGC marketplace free for paid UGC jobs, paid by bank, PayPal, Venmo or stablecoin, with no cut of their pay.
Trybe is built around ads: creators submit videos, brands run them on Meta and pay on sales or ad performance, with no plan and a fee of at most 1.5%. SideShift sells plans from $299 to $999 a month plus a wallet top-up fee, tracks creators' posts, and added Commission Ads on September 23, 2026. viral.app pays on organic views and boosts posts that already work.
The creator keeps ownership. Once you accept a video and it is paid, you get a worldwide, transferable license within the campaign's usage scope. For flat-fee videos it is perpetual. For videos on commission it lasts only while you keep paying commissions, and it ends if you leave Trybe. Its videos must also run only through ad accounts connected to Trybe, during each campaign and for 12 months after.
Its pages don't describe it. Trybe tracks the Meta ads it launches and the Shopify orders they drive, with server-side last-click attribution. Its creator terms mention campaign posts on creators' own channels, but not tracking their views. viral.app tracks any public account on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and Snapchat from a URL, competitors included, and pays creators on those organic views.
Trybe's site describes launching whitelisted and partnership ads on Meta only. Its brand terms name TikTok Ads Manager among the ad accounts a brand may connect, but no TikTok ad launching is described. viral.app's Create Ad turns any tracked post into a TikTok Spark Ad or an Instagram or Facebook partnership ad on your own ad accounts, and keeps paid views out of creator pay.
Partly. Trybe pays creators by bank transfer in 170+ countries through Stripe and converts currency when a brand pays in another one. It is a Texas company, and its privacy policy names California privacy rights without mentioning GDPR. viral.app is built in Germany under GDPR and pays creators in 180+ countries through a merchant of record, with invoices and DAC7 reporting.
Yes. You can keep Trybe for ad creative on Meta and run your organic creators in viral.app, which tracks any public account from a URL, including the accounts of creators you found on Trybe. Keep paying creators you met on Trybe through Trybe until 12 months after their campaign, and keep its videos on ad accounts connected to Trybe, as its terms require.
